Singapore Launches New Green Building Materials Certification Scheme

The Building and Construction Authority (BCA) of Singapore today launched a new Green Building Materials Certification Scheme to promote the use of sustainable materials in the construction industry. The scheme will provide a standardized framework for assessing the environmental performance of building materials, including their carbon footprint, energy efficiency, and recyclability. Certified materials will be eligible for additional points under Singapore's Green Mark scheme, which rates the sustainability of buildings.
